Lapansi Antlers

These stems of the tea plant, reminiscent of antlers, give this enchanting white tea from Malawi its unique name. Unlike typical teas made from the buds and leaves, this specialty uses only the stems. The result is a slightly yellow infusion with a smooth taste and fruity-floral notes.

The processing

This tea is made exclusively from the stems of the tea plant, which resemble the new horns of African deers and give the tea its unique name. The stems are meticulously sorted by hand during white tea production and dried in the sun. That can only occur on clear, sunny days. Consequently, production halts during the rainy season.
