A potion from the forests of harmony
Savor this wonderfully aromatic tea with cherry notes and let your mind wander … wander to a forest so dense and untouched it must be a fairytale grove in a remote and long-forgotten mystical kingdom. From Lan Na in present-day Northern Thailand comes this true elixir of Mother Earth, a slightly sweet, floral, steamed green tea that was handcrafted in harmony with nature.
Monteaco (Chiang Mai, Thailand)
Tea that doesn’t come from regular tea plantations, but from a healthy ecosystem of natural forests that are centuries old: Monteaco produces “Forest Friendly Tea”, which is grown and cultivated in harmony with the environment in Northern Thailand. No deforestation, herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers or irrigation systems are employed for their rare teas.
Tea preventing deforestation and monocultures
Monteaco combines climate protection and measures to preserve nature with securing the livelihoods of local people: to offer them a worthwhile alternative to the deforestation of historic, biodiverse forests and to tea cultivation in monocultural plantations, they pay higher prices for tea that comes from plants that grow naturally in the forests.
